About Nohelani Cypriano

Nohe is a leader in Hawaii’s contemporary music industry — a vocalist, accomplished keyboard player and composer. She has recorded 12 albums and received four of Hawaii’s most prestigious music awards, including the Na Hoku Hanohano Award for "Contemporary Album of the Year" and "Best Female Vocalist".

Nohe performs weekly at Tropics in the Hilton Hawaiian Village: Thursdays from 5:30pm – 8:30pm and Fridays from 8pm – 10:30 pm.

Nohe’s Background:

• Vocalist, keyboard player and composer with a versatile repertoire of contemporary Hawaiian, top 40, jazz, country

• Her mother is long-time Hawaiian entertainer Leina‘ala Simerson

• Nohe co-wrote “Lihue”, on Home Grown II, her first hit

• Around Again album launched her solo career - songs on this album gained #1 hit status on the Hawaiian and Japanese music charts and remained charted for over 6 months

• Performed in Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Malaysia, Iraq, USA, including Carnegie Hall, Washington, DC

• One of the “Local Divas”, a quartet of Loyal Garner, Carole Kai and Melveen Leed
