Nohelani Cypriano's new CD, Pulelehua (My Precious Butterfly) will be released this summer. This CD has been 9 years in the making with many roadblocks along the way, but finally completed and the closest one to her heart.

Pulelehua, a Hawaiian contemporary CD, is in honor of her Mother, Leina'ala Simerson, a long-time and respected Hawaiian entertainer who passed away on January 8, 2000. It is a celebration of a beautiful life that passed and a continuation of a soul that not only lives on, but thrives. All the songs on this CD have a special meaning and connection to her Mom and is dedicated in loving memory of her Mother, whose soul lives on in so many ways. Though their journey begins far before the butterfly connection, their path remains the same...a loving and everlasting bond that strengthens through time, an unconditional love that a Mother and Daughter shared in this lifetime, and continues until their souls meet again...

Pulelehua features many guest artists, including Fiji, George Kuo, Jeff Peterson, Sean Na'auao, Zanuck Lindsey and others. It includes three songs recorded by Leina'ala Simerson just prior to her passing and an original title track, Pulelehua (My Precious Butterfly) which touches upon the many butterfly signs from her Mother. The CD also includes a detailed account of the butterfly connection as well as a few family photos. Nohe's cousin, Lopaka Igarta opens the CD with a prayer chant and the CD closes with I'm Your Angel, a duet with Fiji and the Word of Life Music Ministry Choir.

The music on Pulelehua will touch your heart and speak to your soul. It is a loving testament to all Mothers and to anyone who has lost a loved is a celebration of life, love, and soul connections.
